Description of Inventory Counting - V1

Changes from the previous version

Since this is the first version of Inventory Counting, everything here is new.

Non-stock items

Counting of non-inventory items (normal tools) can have the following statuses:

  1. Must be counted: No one counted this tool.
  2. Counted: Counted in the usual way, or by someone taking over a tool.
  3. Cannot find: No one could find this tool, but they don't think it was stolen either.
  4. Stolen/lost: The tool appears to be lost. Administrator must decide whether to mark it as lost. We do not recommend deleting lost tools. The reason is that someone may find it again and it is good to have information about the owner available.
  5. Damaged/out of order: Someone found the tool, but it cannot be used until it is repaired/serviced.
  6. Discarded: We know that the tool has been discarded. Administrator must decide whether to delete it completely. Or perhaps replace it, and reuse codes/signs.
  7. Deployed: This tool should be deployed somewhere, and it was not possible/impractical to count.

Stock items

Items that are marked as stock items have a unit in which they are counted, such as liters, square meters, etc.
When the item is counted, the quantity/amount is displayed in the report along with the unit. Example: 10 liters

See the main page for more information on how to open the file in Excel.
